What is our aim?
To provide the world’s very best and most accessible networking site for the chemical industry and chemical sciences. We want this site to help people whatever their interests and wherever they are based; from senior executives of global multinationals to bench chemists, students and everyone in between. To achieve this, membership is free and open to anyone who might benefit. We hope to make our return from advertising which we’ll ensure also offers real value for our customers wherever they are based.
Who Are We?
This site is owned and operated by Connecting Professionals Limited, a company established in 2003 and headquartered in London, UK. We are part of a well funded group called Chemical Ventures Limited. This site was conceived and founded by Stephen Mothersole, who also established Chemical Search International, a fast-growing, specialist executive search company. - Data: We are fully compliant with all data protection laws of the UK and registered with Data Protection (PZ8488288) which rigorously controls the privacy and protection of information submitted by subscribers to our site. We covenant to you that private information provided will never be released to any third party without your permission. Please also note that Chemical Search’s consultants and associates have no access whatsoever to member’s private information. In the event that this site is ever sold you will be given the option in good time of deleting your details should you wish.
- Database: We have done everything possible to protect the data you have provided. Our database is held on a secure server based in Houston, USA within one of the world’s largest dedicated hosting data centres, complete with air conditioning, generator backup, fire protection systems, 24/7 surveillance and security guard patrol. The company has further seamless server back up in London, UK.
- Communication: This is an ‘open-forum’ type networking website, which means that members can view and make contact with any other member. To protect your privacy, you can select on My Profile the kind of people you would like to be able to contact you. You can also block users from contacting you again if you like and report them to us if desired.
- Payment Security: We accept payment for advertising using WorldPay. This well-established company is owned by The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, the 5th biggest banking group in the world, who use the latest encryption technology on secure servers to ensure the security of your card details. We have no direct access to this information and do not maintain records of your card details.
